| $300 bucks is a VERY low budget for the primer/sealer/paint/clear I spent 400 on the paint alone (Omni Plus Brand -Cherry Red Pearl Color) 100 on a gallon of clear (forget the brand, but was more high end) and about 40-60 on high build catalyst primer and filler. Pretty much any HVLP system/gun will do. They vary from about 250 for a cheapo HVLP system into the thousands, and an HVLP Gun (if you have an air compressor) will run around 150 bucks for a decent gun. (Your air compressor needs to be like 4+ horsepower, and have a 25+ gallon tank for a HVLP Gun) I opted not to paint my own Z, but to do all the prep work and primer myself. I spent about $80 on misc paint prep materials, (sandpaper, body filler etc.) They guy shooting it has 42 years of experience, and is charging me $600 and is highly recommended.
